Southern California airports, particularly LAX, are often plagued with long lines of passengers checking in. Some businessmen are dreading trips abroad because of airport overcrowding. LAX was officially designed to take 58 percent of the traveling population in Southern California, but it is currently handling 81 percent of the traffic. Smaller airports like John Wayne and Burbank have been expanding because of popular lines like JetBlue, but some of those airports are still limited because of noise restrictions.
